Germany Upgraded to i7-8700

Germany has been one of our larger EU data-center locations for a very long time now and we decided it was time to spruce it up! We finally migrated to a new data-center and upgraded all of our hardware to Intel i7-8700 Coffee Lake chips. These chips are the latest from Intel and have 6 cores with 12 threads instead of the regular 4 cores / 8 threads with all other previous i7 generation chips. On top of these brand new chips are the NVMe SSD drives in every single one of these new bad boys. The top of the line SSD drives ensure  the fastest load times and least amount of save lag for your service. This upgrade makes our Germany location the most updated data-center we currently have in terms of technology. SHOP NOW

Squad Pricing Revised

After careful consideration we are happy to announce that Squad rentals are now cheaper! We have reduced Squad pricing from $1.10/slot to $0.99/slot across the board. We have worked in tandem with the Squad developers throughout the development stages and they have done a fantastic job optimizing the dedicated software for Squad. We will continue to monitor the dedicated server performance and we will revise pricing if more optimizations allow for it.

Now Offering Johannesburg, South Africa Server Hosting

The Johannesburg, South Africa facility is not in a direct flight path or low lying area and is centrally located between Johannesburg and Pretoria with a major power substation close by. A geotechnical audit has been done to ensure ground stability. This great new location will allow us to serve a more global community by offering our service and reputation to more people than ever before. Our fully redundant, physically separated A+B feeds provide power to the facility. This means that a single utility power feed can be disconnected without affecting your service. Equipment with a single power supply also benefits from this redundancy through our sophisticated static transfer switch design. The average power per square meter is 3.5 kW / m2. These features coupled with UPS backup and a standby generator on each feed provide even further resilience. Our network is multi-homed with multiple up-links per data center via our upstream providers, EOH Carrier Services and Metrofibre Networx. Should a network failure occur, traffic is automatically rerouted via alternate uplinks, significantly increasing our network resilience. Connectivity is provided through diverse, redundant fibre routes connecting the facility to a 10Gbps fibre ring. We’ve partnered with INX-ZA to extend the reach of the Johannesburg Internet Exchange (JINX). Temperature and humidity conditions are within the generally acceptable boundaries set by the American Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). All our air conditioning units have N+2 redundancy. When ambient temperature allows for it, we make use of direct free cooling, significantly reducing our power consumption and carbon footprint. Juniper offers a high-performance network infrastructure with a highly responsive environment for accelerating the deployment of services. The virtual chassis technology increases the redundancy and resilience of [...]

Infrastructure Upgrade

We are always working to improve our systems and have begun the process of moving our Dallas nodes to a new data center.  This new data center will provide us access to a faster network and stronger DDoS protection. We have already upgraded Chicago and Los Angeles. We are also taking this opportunity to upgrade all our nodes to the latest hardware.  All these upgrades are free to all customers.   New Hardware Our new data-center locations will be receiving custom machines with the E5-1650v4 Intel CPU, 64GB RAM, SSD drives and premium bandwidth. These newer chips are faster and coupled with SSD drives will deliver the performance and reliability that we feel every single one of our customers deserve!   20GB DDoS Protection The even bigger and most important upgrade is that our entire Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles locations, after the migration, will be protected with 20gbps of traffic protection and 60 million packets per second protection! This is a milestone for us as a company and an awesome benefit for our customers to enjoy. These same DDoS protection benefits will be coming to every one of our other locations in the future as well.   What To Expect When we are ready to migrate your service(s) you will receive a direct email from our team stating that your service is now being moved. At that point in time your dashboard access will be suspended and your service will be gracefully stopped. All of your current server data will be packaged up and transferred to the new machine your service will reside on. Everyone will receive a new IP address and possibly a new Port (if necessary to avoid conflict issues) on the new upgraded hardware. We recommend [...]
